Summary
Compared to pre-crisis averages, last week (14-20 June) airlines in the US:
- Carried 20% of the passengers
- Operated 39% of the flights
- Flew 59% of their aircraft
Scroll on for airline-by-airline and airport-by-airport breakdowns.
Airport Traffic Rankings
The top ten major North American airport ranking is looking less strange than it did during the bottom; SEA and DAB have bumped out IAH and EWR - I suspect their lower rankings can be blamed on United's very conservative operational response. MEM, ANC, SDF, and IND are doing well on account of cargo volumes.
Daily Airline Flight Operations
Southwest continues to step on the gas, Allegiant is almost back to normal, United is by far the most conservative with the number of flights being operated.
Weekly Airline Flight Operations
Same data as above, weekly for readability.
Airline Fleet Evolution
Nearly all of the charts below show continuing fleet growth, though United's wide-body numbers declined. Sun Country and Allegiant both showing particularly strong numbers, though Sun Country's numbers are juiced a bit with a growing fleet of freighters for Amazon.
